Should the Fourth of July be replaced by "World Day"?

Should the Fourth of July be banned in America? It is worthy of debate as to whether our nation deserves to celebrate the Fourth of July. That, instead of stuffing our faces with hot dogs and wasting money which could otherwise go to social services on fireworks, we should be atoning for the many, many sins of our nation.
"World Day" could be a new day of atonement, to replace the Fourth of July. On this day we eat tofu (no meats), use no air conditioning, and not use our vehicles. Actually, I could foresee "World Month", in which Americans make formal, widely publicized apologies to the indigenous peoples of our continent, and to all those around the world for our transgressions.
This is, after all, a mean and racist country. Witness the fact that nearly half of Americans won't even vote for Obama. His election would surely go a long way toward atoning for our sins. So I implore everyone to think long and hard about this before November.
at least among the "FREE" nations of the world. After all, if WE had not attained OUR independence, none of THEM would be free and independent today.

I can't wait for RS 3.
Tonight is just making me look forward to it so much.

Sorry again for the HTML mishap I had tonight.
It wasn't a *BAD* one. I could actually find the Edit link on screen.
Yes, they get bad enough that I can't find the Edit link, and I have to view source, find the link that way, then paste in order to edit.

I think you should have gotten in a few more paragraphs this time, taking the time to really start frothing at the mouth as you go down point by NEA/AFT-propaganized point. A few you could have gotten into:
* 10 Acres and a Mule
* Smallpox-laced blankets
* Hiroshima and Nagasaki
* My Lai
And say that these four things, whether each one is actually true or not, destroy any good Americans may ever, ever, ever have done.
Your first one was a brilliant double reverse moby. This one? If you were just mobying you'd be tossed in seconds, sorry :-)
