Obama's Stand on Religion

There is a need to fully understand why Barack Obama took the stand of "many paths" theory when it comes to religion. I am curious how Democrats handle the topic of faith and religion. I have two items below, for now. Are these religions/sects belong to Obama's "many paths"?

1. Oprah's religion. A video has been posted in YouTube describing Oprah's religion

2. A headline from WorldNetDaily about that "New Age" religion in North Carolina with leading Democrats as leaders. The WND report is given below (please forgive if there are copyright issues but I posted the webpage address).

The title: Another Democrat chief arrested in satanic torture
Victims allegedly shackled to beds, raped, locked in cages without food (Posted: July 02, 2008 5:45 pm Eastern)

I believe that the Conservatives must speak clearly on this issue and make a stand on Obama's so called multi-path system of reaching God. I haven't heard of any, except those by Dobson.

And it especially does not equal fundamentalist of evengelical Christian. So, it would be silly for Conservatives to speak clearly on Obama's religious views unless they explicitly contradict his constitutional duties as Senator or President.

"Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it."
-Thomas Paine: The American Crisis, No. 4, 1777

and his religious practices are 180 degrees out of phase makes the subject worthy of commentary. In point of fact, HE brought his religion (vis Pastor Racist/Anti-American Demagogue) up and made it a center point in his life. Kinda like Kerry "reporting for duty".

It points to his utter lack of character and judgement.

Exactly by bs

He brings it up and flaunts it and it becomes fair game.... this is no different than what happened with Huckabee in the primaries. You make it a key part of your agenda and you'd better expect to get called on it, criticized for it, and for it to get microanalyzed.

Seems the MSM uses it to downplay Wright and Fleger issues against Obama...to smoothly sail to the finish line by November.
